USER INFORMATION FOR NAPI WORK WEAR FLAME RESISTANT CLOTHING

 DANGER

Carefully read this User Information Guide to its entirety. All of the instructions  contained within are intended to alert you of potential risks of serious injury and death and to  reduce those risks. No garments can ensure full protection against all serious injuries or  death. It is your responsibility as the consumer to familiarize yourself with this User  Information Guide. It is also your responsibility to use your garments in accordance with its  instructions.

 INTRODUCTION

This User Information Guide provides important information regarding the care,  maintenance and use of your flame resistant garment.

 WARNINGS

This garment provides limited protection to you in the event of exposure to direct heat or  flame. You will not be protected from all hazards when using this garment alone. Even  though the garment is constructed with flame resistance materials. You will not be protected,  if this garment is not properly maintained. If this garment is damaged do not use it. Also, do  not use garments when soiled or contaminated. You must also understand the use limitations  for this garment prior to actually wearing it. Napi Work Wear does not and cannot assess the appropriate garment for you to use based on your specific trade.  The garment is not intended for use in any firefighting activities or fire entry. Garment is not  designed to protect you against hazardous liquids, chemicals or continuous thermal  electric loads. Depending on your use, additional protection may be needed.  If a garment has emblems, or other enhancements, such features may not be resistant to fire. Garment is provided to you by Napi Work Wear "as Is".  If protective properties are compromised, use of this garment must be discontinued  immediately.  Napi Work Wear will not be liable for any indirect/direct loss including death or injuries arising out of the use of this garment. You assume all risks associated with using this  garment.

 GARMENT MARKING AND EMBLEMS

The use of non-heat or non-flame resistant embroidery, emblems, patches, and heat transfers  used to designate a specific organization or government entity should be limited. If emblem embroidery/patches/shields are used, they should be relatively small and it may still  compromise your garment in the event of an electrical arc or flash fire exposure.

 INSPECTION AND REPAIR INFORMATION

Inspect your garment periodically as follows:

A- Upon receipt always inspect your garment

B- At least once a month

C- Before and after each use

D- Anytime the garment has been subject to contamination or damage

All major seams must be inspected for structural damages. Inspect all components for tears,  damages caused by burn, rips or abrasion damage, missing components, cleanliness,  discoloration, holes, pocket damages, hardware function, size and fit.

Garment must be removed from service if any component is missing or damaged. You must  have your garment replaced or repaired. An experienced service provider should be the one to  repair this garment if it should become damaged. Garment should be repaired using fabric  used in the original construction of the garment. Significant alterations to the garment are not  allowed as they could reduce the protection qualities of the garment. Unauthorized repairs to  the flame-resistant garment invalidates implied/expressed warranties.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

A- Machine wash hot normal cycle (120 degrees Fahrenheit or 49 degrees Celsius).  Material shrinkage can occur if overly hot water is utilized.

B- Never use bleach - Discoloration of fabric can occur when bleaches are used. Bleaches  can also cause garment materials to lose its performance characteristics, such as  strength, flame resistance, etc.

C- Can dry clean

D- Tumble dry medium- Automatic dryers should not be used. Automatic dryers can  cause damage to the reflective trim of your garment. Material shrinkage can occur  when garment is over dry.

E- Do not use starch, fabric softener or any laundry additives- Oil based products as fabric  softeners can contribute to fabric flammability.

F- Garments should be kept clean. The life expectancy of the garment, as well as the  flame resistance increases when contaminants and flammable soils are removed every  time the garment is used. The ability of the garment to resist flame can be compromised  when garments are contaminated with flammable contaminants. Garment may not only  ignite, but the clothing might continue to burn when normally the garment would self extinguish.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WASHING GARMENT AT HOME

A- The flame-resistant garment should be turned inside out and must be washed separately  from any other clothing. To prevent the spread of contamination to other laundry items,  washers used by the public are not recommended.

B- Apply these instructions when washing a number of clothing items in the same load

C- Washing machine must be fill to the highest level

D- Washing machine must be set to “normal cycle” or a similar setting

E- Double rinse garment

F- When using outside laundering, the same procedure must be followed to avoid  damages to the garment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRYING GARMENT AT HOME

 A. Multiple heat settings dryer should be selected.

 B. Medium heat setting should be utilized.

 EXTERNAL CLEANING SERVICES

If an outside cleaning organization is used to clean your fire resistant garments, make sure that  the procedures used for washing and drying the garments are effective in removing soils and  other possible contaminants while not adversely affecting the performance or condition of  your garments.

 IRONING

If needed, please use a warm iron to remove wrinkles from the garment.

 DONNING AND DOFFING

Tight fitting clothing must be avoided at all times. The garment shall cover potential exposed  areas as completely as possible. All flame-resistant clothing are worn properly only when all  closures are secured fully, when shirts and sleeves that cover all parts of your arms are fastened  at the wrists, when pant legs are rolled all the way down and completely closed at the ankles  and when shirts are tucked fully inside the waistband of pants.

You must make all fit adjustments when donning this garment (if provided), fully extend the  legs and sleeves, and make sure all closures (buttons, snaps, zippers, etc.) are secured. Fully  extend all adjustments when removing this garment (if provided) and unfasten all closures  (buttons, zippers, snap, etc.)

PROPER  USE CONSISTENT WITH NFPA 2113

NFPA 2113 provides instruction for selection, use, care, and maintenance requirements for  Flame-Resistance Garments use by industrial personnel in areas at risk of short-duration  thermal exposures.

Please follow the provisions in the NFPA 2113 to promote the correct selection of flame resistant garments and to reduce the risks caused by contamination, damage or incorrect  maintenance of the garment.  For more detailed information, please refer to NFPA 2113.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

After garments have been properly inspected and cleaned, garments should be stored in an  area where garments are not exposed to excessive moisture or direct sunlight. Permanent  damage to the garments can occur when garments are stored in direct sunlight. Prolonged  exposure to sunlight should be avoided. Garments can lose strength when exposed to  ultraviolet light. Garments will grow fungus and mildew, if stored in wet areas and that will  damage your garment permanently.

 RETIREMENT AND DISPOSAL

The flame-resistant garments do not hold an indefinite useful life and you as the consumer must  realize this information.  Garments exposed to hazardous materials which cannot be decontaminated safely should be retired.  If the garment cannot be adequately cleaned or correctly repaired, the garment should be removed  from service. Garment should be disposed properly in accordance with local, state and federal  regulations.
